Simple ideas and big dreams. Doodles and sketches. Magazine clippings and snapshots taken from car windows. These are the rough beginnings of a custom home. Oftentimes we begin with a blank page, but we can also start with parts of plans or complete plans that can be customized to meet your needs and desires. We start by capturing your best inspirations, then, help to refine and articulate your goals. In early meetings we focus largely on your lifestyle. We also contemplate architectural form and design elements, the surrounding environment and the unique elements of your home site. After initial consultations, conceptual designs are put to paper to bring them dimension and life. We will then generate a ballpark budget within five percent of the final cost for your new home. Based on this initial budget - and with your acknowledgement to proceed - the architect produces a preliminary design of your desired floor plan and elevation renderings. With this we can provide a more detailed budget. The decisions and selections you make guide us in refining the preliminary design into a final design. A final cost is determined when all design decisions, allowances and selections are finalized and the detailed architectural drawings are completed.
